PURPS X World Jiu Jitsu Championship 2016

The world's biggest event in Jiu Jitsu just rolled into town last week. The Walter Pyramid, in Long Beach, CA hosted the 20th annual World Jiu Jitsu Championships. Thousands and thousands of athletes flew in from all over the world to vie for the coveted gold medal.

The Purps team certainly did not disappoint. At week's end, Millie McCourt, Sophia Flores, Isaiah Calderon, Caio Antonini and Tainan Dalpra all stood at the top of the podium with gold around their necks. The most celebrated winner of the week was Rafael Mendes, who clinched his 6th Black Belt world title. Congrats team, well done!
